This service, using the latest developments and research in neuroscience to inform new therapeutic techniques and practices that can offer clients quick and permanent relief.
If you suffer from addictions or mental health illness such as anxiety, depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, we can help.
No case or circumstance is considered too difficult. In fact the greater the challenge, the more determined Vivian is to help.
She believes improving mental health is an active process; becoming more aware of and making better decisions towards leading a more balanced and fulfilling life.
It is much more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth and realising your full potential.
Maintaining an optimal level of mental helth, Vivian believes is important to achieving a better quality of life. It matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our mental health.
In turn, our mental health directly affects our physiology and emotions. It’s an ongoing process.
Achieving optimal mental health subdues stress and anxiety, reduces the risk of illness and ensures more positive interactions within the home, work and social environments.
For these reasons Vivian takes a holistic whole person approach to finding the right treatments and solutions tailored to suit individual needs.

Havening Technique
Vivan is a certified practitioner of the ground breaking Havening Technique.
Havening is a process scientifically proven to eliminate the consequences of emotional stored memories through the encouragement and development of a more resilient mind.
When we have an event in our life that we give meaning to, based on how we process the information via our five senses, we can sometimes develop phobias, traumatically encoded memories (PTSD/injury), pathological emotions, anxiety, grief, somatic pain and many other conditions.
The Havening technique, otherwise known as psycho-sensory therapy, is proving highly effective in removing these responses.
This therapeutic approach was created by Dr Ronald Ruden, a medical practitioner and theorist from the USA introduced to the idea of tapping technologies, such as EFT and TFT by hypnotist and personal development expert Paul McKenna.
After achieving some great results, they decided to research this approach further. They identified when an event has been stored in the mind and body as trauma, simple touch, known as psycho-sensory input in unison with distracting techniques produces symptomatic relief.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming
How can Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) be used? Everyone has the resources they need to make positive life changes.
NLP techniques can be used as a tool to help to identify forward steps to achieving this change.
By mastering this process, you can literally become whoever you want to be.
Often the difference between someone who thinks they can do something and someone who thinks they can’t is the way they present the situation to themselves in their mind.
NLP can help with a range of conditions including but not limited to compulsive behaviour, low self-esteem, motivation even interview preparation techniques.
Vivian explained, ‘it is our programming that determines the kind of models of the world we create’.
The neurological system regulates how our bodies function whilst language determines how we interface and communicate with other people.
NLP describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behaviour (programming). It is an effective solution in a wide variety of contexts.
Vivian is a certified NLP Master Practitioner with The American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Timeline Therapy
Builds on similar foundations to NLP. Its techniques allow freedom from undesired negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt.
By releasing these emotions from the memories that harvest them you are then able to react freely to future situations without the emotional baggage of the past. TLT could help if you feel burdened by negative emotions from the past, experience anxiety when thinking of the future, lack confidence or drive or you often feel lost in your emotions.
Vivian is a Master Practitioner in TLT and qualified in line with the TLT Association (TLTA).
Why choose hypnosis?
There are multiple reasons why people come to us for hypnosis, whether it’s a desire to move past unhelpful behaviours or habits or simply to explore unconscious thoughts.
At Hydro-ease we help individuals from all walks of life.
Hypnosis is an alternative state of consciousness which can be entered naturally for therapeutic purposes, enabling beneficial corrections to the unconscious mind.
It’s an effective way of connecting with our inner self, our reservoir of knowledge and potential as well as the source of many of our problems and unhelpful strategies.
Clinical Hypnotherapy Sessions offer an ‘integrative approach’.
This means combining it with other forms of therapy including behavioural psychology, cognitive psychology, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and NLP.
It also relies on the most effective elements from the classical theories proposed by Freud, Jung and Adler as well as the latest physiological research in terms of how the mind functions.
Spectrum Coaching
Spectrum therapy or Spectrum Coaching can help with any emotionally based issue – including addictions to food, alcohol and nicotine as well as pain management.
Additionally it offers a range of interventions for self-harm, suicidal thoughts and stress related conditions associated with negative emotions.
The process involves talking in a one-to-one situation to establish trust and safety where the coach (Vivian) helps to source the problem area and work with the emotions connected to the root cause as opposed to the symptoms.
It is particularly good for nervous clients as it leads people into quick but gentle change and at a suitable pace helping people to regain self-reliance.
Benefits include, a considerable reduction in negative thoughts to past traumatic experiences, an increased ability to view things from a more objective perspective, experiencing less stress, a greater understanding of the causes of emotional problems and a greater sense of emotional and physical health.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think, feel and behave.
It’s most commonly used to treat things such as anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.
We would then work on how to change these negative patterns in the way that is best for you, to improve the way you feel.
Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.
It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind and improve it on a daily basis

Stephen Lusty, Havening
How many formal presentations have I done in my life? At least a thousand...maybe more? So, a friendly 10 minute talk to a couple of hundred people about a subject I'm passionate about and know inside out should be easy. Right? Well the first two minutes go as planned, but then "Bang." Everything stops. Words, thoughts, breathing all stop. My heart starts to pound so much it feels like it's bleeding; imaginary flash bulbs pop in front of my eyes; deafening white noise floods my ears. PANIC and RUN are my only thoughts - so I do. Just when I should have been moving on to my fourth slide and landing the first in a series of corny jokes I'm lying, head down in the Green room of an important event crying. All my friends and family are in the audience and its being recorded for broadcast. All around me is a bubble of 'nothingness' and I all I want to say is "Dear World, open up the floor and swallow me now!" There are some sentences in your life that you'll never forget and for me, "Hi, my name is Vivian, can I help you?" will always be one of them. I'd never met Vivian before. She'd been a member of the audience and had volunteered in her capacity as a therapist to come and help me. Using Havening and other techniques she got me calmed down, back to a good place and within an hour I was able to return to the stage. I'm pretty sure that the standing ovation I got at the end was more to do with showing guts than it was for my content but I would not have been able to do it if it wasn't for Vivian. I will be forever grateful for her skill, compassion and generosity. Thank you!
